ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – For the second year in a row, Presbyterian Healthcare Services (Presbyterian) received the MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle, sponsored by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
In healthcare, revenue cycle includes the capture, management and collection of patient service revenue—from the time a patient makes an appointment to when the balance is paid.
Presbyterian was among 13 winners selected from nearly 170 facilities for this year’s award, which was formally presented on June 26 at HFMA’s 2016 National Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We are thrilled to receive this award,” said Renee Ennis, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Presbyterian Healthcare Services. “This recognition helps us compare ourselves to national benchmarks and to continuously improve our processes. Earning the MAP award two years in a row would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our 600 revenue cycle employees.”
To earn this recognition, Presbyterian met industry-standard benchmarks and achieved outstanding patient satisfaction.
MAP – measure, apply, perform – is a comprehensive strategy that helps organizations measure performance, apply evidence-based strategies for improvement and perform to the highest standards.
